Sunday - Thursday

 

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Plant 2 Supervisor for our Pennsylvania recycling operation. This position reports to the Production Manager. The schedule is Sunday-Thursday, 9:00pm to 6:30am. 

This self-sufficient, motivated, safety oriented, and capable individual will be responsible for the operation of several types of extrusion machines.

Essential Responsibilities: 

 

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by… 
  • providing employee safety training 
  • ensuring compliance with all related procedures and standards 
  • Support staffing objectives by… 
  • providing proper onboarding and process training 
  • communicating job expectations and monitoring employee performance against goals 
  • enforcing company systems, policies and procedures 
  • coaching-counseling employees as necessary 
  • fostering employee development and advancement 
  • Meet production goals by… 
  • assigning personnel on shift as required 
  • scheduling and providing coverage for breaks for line operators 
  • coordinating a seamless transition between shifts  
  • understanding priorities based on the production schedule 
  • monitoring all steps of the process on an ongoing basis 
  • ensuring that machine operators document all required information 
  • observing machine control points and adjusting processing variables 
  • following the escalation protocol for addressing equipment issues 
  • adhering to all quality control specifications 
  • detailing a production summary at the end of the shift  
  • Direct maintenance activities to address equipment issues 
  • Foster a spirit of cooperation between departments 
  • Perform other duties as specified 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 2 years plant/warehouse operator experience 
  • Minimum 1-year supervisory experience 
  • Knowledge of OSHA industrial standards 
  • Solid decision making 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products 
  • Multi-tasking 
  • Equipment troubleshooting 

Basic Requirements: 

  • Solid decision-making skills 
  • This is a safety sensitive position. 
  • High school diploma 
  • Minimum 5+ years plant/warehouse experience 
  • Ability to interact effectively with the hourly workforce, operations management, other supervisors, and other personnel. 
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Knowledge of OSHA Industry Standards 
  • Computer Literate  
  • Equipment operation experience  

Work Environment: 

  • Manufacturing environment where hearing protection, safety glasses and steel toed boots are required. 
  • Large facility with approximately 100,000 square feet of ground to cover. 
  • Seasonal variation in temperature and weather conditions. 
  • Frequent radio communication with operators and managers. 
  • Teamwork-centered atmosphere with over 100 employees.
