About this Job

Eridan is revolutionizing wireless communication by developing power-efficient, cost-effective radio solutions that enable the future of connectivity. As we move toward mass deployment of our Radio Unit (RU) in live networks, we are seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to own and optimize our embedded testing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of hardware and software and is excited about supporting physical test environments for cutting-edge RF and embedded systems.

As our DevOps Software Engineer – Embedded & Radio Test Infrastructure

 Test Infrastructure for Embedded & RF Systems

• Set up and maintain test runners which enable remote control of physical lab equipment such as power supplies, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and embedded target boards.
• Integrate sophisticated RF test equipment, like Viavi TM500 and R&S VSA, with Eridan’s test framework environment.  
• Coordinate with hardware, software, and RF teams to support test stations and automation frameworks for Eridan’s RU validation.

 CI/CD & Automation

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded software and system testing using tools like GitHub, CircleCI or Jenkins.
• Automate build and test flows for firmware and system-level integration with hardware-in-the-loop setups.
• Enable automated test result collection, visualization, and regression tracking for real-time debugging and performance insights.

Infrastructure Operations & Troubleshooting

• Administer Linux-based servers and networked test environments within Eridan’s Sunnyvale office.
• Support systems such as FPGA runners and custom test hardware platforms.
• Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks across hardware, software, and lab networks.

Qualifications of a Successful Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years in software test infrastructure roles supporting embedded systems or RF hardware development.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, CircleCI, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• Strong Linux administration skills like shell scripting, user and permission management, package installation, system monitoring, log analysis, and configuring secure remote access (SSH).
• Experience with Docker or equivalent containerization tools. 
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for test automation and infrastructure tooling.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex infrastructure systems.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Software Quality Assurance (SQA), including test planning, test automatization, defect tracking, and ensuring compliance with quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle
• Hands-on experience with RF test automation, signal analysis, or radio performance validation using various wireless network testers (Viavi, Kesyght etc).
• Knowledge of artifact storage and test data visualization tools.

Salary Range

Given our anticipated growth, we are open to hiring individuals with varying levels of experience to fill this role. Salary will be commensurate with job-related skills, experience and other relevant factors. The base salary range for the primary location of this role is between $125,000 and $155,000 plus stock options and benefits.
