Your Role

As our People Business Partner (BP) you will be a strategic partner for overseeing and driving HR best practices and projects in the Netherlands. As the BP for our P&E, Operations, Commercial & Finance departments you will play a pivotal role in building and fostering strong relationships with the local leadership team. You will act as a trusted advisor, partnering with leaders to set solid foundations for local people strategies that align with our sustainable mission and unique culture. You will drive engagement initiatives that focus on purpose and impact, enhance collaboration, and establish a framework for sustainable growth. This role requires a hands-on approach, the ability to navigate change, and a proactive mindset to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within our value driven, people centric HR practices.

You will join Fastned’s wonderful People team. You will work closely with the wider People team (mostly based in the Netherlands) that includes People Business Partnering, Payroll, People Operations and Talent Acquisition. Our People Business Partner team currently consists of one Business Partner Lead, who would be your manager and two other People Business Partners.

Your responsibilities include:

• Be the go-to person for managers and employees with HR questions in the Product, Engineering, Commercial, Operations & Finance departments.

• Own and lead key HR projects, this can range from HR data & tooling projects, L&D and compensation & benefits.

• Work with internal stakeholders to understand the people management priorities that will drive and deliver business plans and use this insight to develop effective and innovative HR solutions.

• Own the process of rolling out the wider HR strategy within your departments (e.g. the performance review cycle, compensation reviews)

• Analyze trends in your departments to help guide decisions and anticipate business needs.

• Be able to pick up and resolve complex employee issues.

• Work closely with management to ensure work relationships, morale and retention are prioritized.

• At least 3 years of People Business Partner (or similar) experience in an international environment;

• Good knowledge and understanding of HR best practices;

• Good project management-, problem solving- and relationship building-skills;

• Familiar with digital platforms that are relevant for this function (e.g. HRIS, Excel, Jira);

• Experience working in a scale-up or fast-paced & high growth HR Department is preferred;

• Ideally you have experience in a SaaS / Software development environment dealing with Software Engineers and other related profiles.
