Education level: Has previously completed an undergraduate degree and is pursuing advanced studies (e.g., Master's or PhD) in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, environmental, electrical, architectural, civil, nuclear, or structural), Business, Medical Radiation Sciences, and Isotopes.
Travel: 20%

JOB OVERVIEW

Laurentis is seeking dynamic and result-driven self-starters in a post-secondary program to join our team in a Postgraduate  Student role. LEP’s Operations strategy aims to pursue innovative commercial growth opportunities by providing inspection, engineering, Isotope, radiological development, and other services to the low-carbon energy industry.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Working in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and regulations: 

  • Assist with preparing technical analysis to support design
  • Support engineer updates, helping to ensure the accuracy and quality of technical information and project documentation in accordance with contract requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines
  • Participate in inter-disciplinary design reviews
  • Assist with preparing engineering reports
  • Provide support and analysis for market assessments of services and technologies. Collect, analyze, report and present market and competitive intelligence information.
  • Collaborate with others in the resolution of problems, including those of a controversial nature
  • Develop business, marketing and financial plans and budgets; provide feedback to Management on results compared to expectations.
  • Act as a leader
  • Liaise with the operations specialist and health physicist
  • Make recommendations on team membership, organize and assign work responsibility to team members; Give guidance, instruction, and direction
  • Contribute to matters under discussion; make presentations
  • Prepare, coordinate and issue technical and financial proposals to prospective international customers and internal management and stakeholders.
  • Provide engineering services independently for less complex technical problems and recommended course of action
  • Assist subject matter supervisor in technical service initiatives
  • Develop and integrate product and process documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Perform studies, investigations, analysis and the preparation of reports and recommendations related to business opportunities
  • Provide project reports as required work alongside the site and shift manager on special projects/tasks/deliverables
  • Other duties as assigned.



EDUCATION  

Has previously completed an undergraduate degree and is pursuing advanced studies (e.g., Master's or PhD) in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, environmental, electrical, architectural, civil, nuclear, or structural), Business, Medical Radiation Sciences, and Isotopes.
