AECOM is actively seeking a driven, attentive Construction Monitoring Representative for immediate employment in Virginia to join our Class I Railroad Team. This is a part time field position. This individual will cover projects in Virginia including but not limited to the Alexandria, Roanoke, Richmond, and Norfolk areas.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>On-site monitoring of Public Projects conducted by Outside Parties (e.g. DOT's) and their contractors for conformance with railroad requirements and approved contractor means and methods.</li><li>Conducting project preconstruction meetings between client personnel, the contractor, and Outside Party.</li><li>Communicating with the client and contractor to work through field changes.</li><li>Maintaining accurate project records and being accountable for successful and timely delivery of field reports and meeting minutes while upholding the quality standards of AECOM and the client.</li><li>Interacting with a multi-disciplinary team comprised of track, structures, geotechnical, signals, mechanical, and civil engineers.</li><li>Performing regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, construction plans, and railroad standards.</li><li>Documenting and reporting any deviations from approved plans or safety concerns to appropriate stakeholders.</li><li>Coordinating with railroad personnel to ensure minimal disruption to rail operations during construction activities.</li><li>Reviewing and verifying contractor submittals, including material certifications and quality control documentation.</li><li>Monitoring project schedules and progress, identifying potential delays or issues, and recommending corrective actions.</li><li>Assisting in the resolution of field conflicts and providing technical guidance to contractors when necessary.</li><li>Participating in project closeout activities, including final inspections and punch list completion.</li><li>Staying current with industry standards, railroad regulations, and construction best practices.</li></ul>
