Position Specific Description

The Parts Sourcing and Vendor Management Specialist is crucial in acquiring specialized parts for our renewable energy projects and ensuring strong vendor partnerships. This individual will be instrumental in supporting the operational excellence of our renewable energy sites.

 

  • Identify and source obscure parts for non-core technologies
  • Maintain and enhance vendor relationships for non-GE wind sites to ensure reliable supply chains
  • Collaborate closely with site and regional leadership to identify vendor needs and complete parts sourcing and vendor management tasks
  • Monitor and assess vendor performance to ensure they meet NextEra Energy's standards and identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct regular vendor meetings and site visits to track and analyze performance
  • Provide actionable information and insights on complex issues affecting parts sourcing and vendor management to internal customers
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports in partnership with site and regional leaders to help execute site support efforts
  • Create and communicate clear presentation materials for updates and reports to various levels of internal stakeholders
  • Stay informed about new developments and innovative advancements in renewable energy to continually improve parts sourcing strategies
  • Recommend and implement strategies to improve parts sourcing and vendor management performance
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success of renewable site operations
  • Some travel required

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates and completes large-scale or several medium or small, complex or long term project(s) within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  • Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
  • Identifies issues and challenges, measures and validates results, and implements solutions
  • Provides information to internal and external clients on moderate to complex issues
  • Creates and communicates presentation materials for report out and updates with various levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Conducts external research and stays abreast of new developments or innovative advancements pertaining to the project
  • Provides coaching, leadership and direction to project team
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 4+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
