Working Student - Assistant to the Director of Engineering (m/f/d)

Your Role

In the role as working student - Assistant to the Director of Engineering, you’ll contribute directly to strategic initiatives, streamline data-driven workflows, and help orchestrate high-impact workshops and investigations that drive decision-making.

Your mission

• Strategic Investigations & Research: Conduct technical and market research on emerging technologies, competitors, and engineering tools to support strategic decision-making
• Workshop Planning & Facilitation: Assist in designing, preparing, and following up on engineering and cross-functional workshops
• Data Handling & Budget Support: Help prepare and manage engineering budgets, forecasts, and KPI dashboards. Work with Excel, Google Sheets, and internal tools to ensure clarity and accuracy
• Automation & Tooling Support: Use Python scripts to automate recurring data tasks, streamline reporting, or support technical prototyping where applicable
• Operational and Administrative Support:Assist with calendar coordination, meeting preparation, documentation, and internal communications

Your profile

• Ongoing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Data Science, Economics, Business, or a related field
• Strong interest in energy technology, engineering management, and/or startup operations
• Solid analytical and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and basic financial models
• Programming experience in Python (e.g. pandas, openpyxl, or automation frameworks)
• Excellent communication skills in English, German is a plus
• Curious, proactive, and excited to learn by doing
