The Senior Systems Architect will be based in Sorocaba, São Paulo. In this position, you will report to the Senior Director of R&D in Brazil.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…

• Develop software architecture for large-scale IoT systems
• Design and implement Big Data pipelines to process large volumes of data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software solutions
• Develop and maintain software code
• Analyze and optimize system performance
• Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve system performance and reliability
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
• Define and enforce software development best practices

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Masters or more advanced degree is a big plus
• 9+ years of experience in software development and proven experience as Software Architect
• Solid programming skills, algorithms, and data structures
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating system and command-line tools
• Familiarity with cloud computing and distributed systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently

Here are a few of our preferred experiences…

• Knowledge of Modern, common purpose programming languages like Go, Java, C++ or Python
• Experience with IoT systems and protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, REST, OPC UA) 
• Experience with big data pipelines and data processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) • Working experience with cloud computing platforms like Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure 
• Experience processing IOT big data, ideally from millions of devices in the field.
• Experience with Containers technology and orchestration systems 
• Experiences with embedded or small footprint Linux systems is a plus
