The Senior Systems Architect will be based in Sorocaba, São Paulo. In this position, you will report to the Senior Director of R&D in Brazil.
Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…
- Develop software architecture for large-scale IoT systems
- Design and implement Big Data pipelines to process large volumes of data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software solutions
- Develop and maintain software code
- Analyze and optimize system performance
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve system performance and reliability
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
- Define and enforce software development best practices
Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Masters or more advanced degree is a big plus
- 9+ years of experience in software development and proven experience as Software Architect
- Solid programming skills, algorithms, and data structures
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating system and command-line tools
- Familiarity with cloud computing and distributed systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently
Here are a few of our preferred experiences…
- Knowledge of Modern, common purpose programming languages like Go, Java, C++ or Python
- Experience with IoT systems and protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, REST, OPC UA)
- Experience with big data pipelines and data processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) • Working experience with cloud computing platforms like Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
- Experience processing IOT big data, ideally from millions of devices in the field.
- Experience with Containers technology and orchestration systems
- Experiences with embedded or small footprint Linux systems is a plus
