Joby Aviation seeks an organized and detail-oriented Equipment Maintenance Planner to coordinate and schedule equipment maintenance,ensure spare parts availability, and manage work orders for the equipment located at our Marina and Santa Cruz, CA facilities
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Equipment Maintenance Technicians to understand current conditions, service history, and repair needs of equipment.
- Track and document maintenance activities, inspections, parts inventory, and service records using UpKeep or other maintenance software.
- Assist in identifying equipment failure trends, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions in partnership with technical staff.
- Coordinate the installation, commissioning, and integration of new and used equipment with vendors and contractors.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols.
- Interface with Procurement and Engineering teams for equipment parts ordering, vendor sourcing, and budget management.
- Recommend improvements in procedures and maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and lifecycle.
Required
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance principles, with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance activities using Upkeep or equivalent systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, etc.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of industrial material handling equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and safety devices.
Desired
- Associate’s degree or higher in engineering, maintenance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, planning, or reliability engineering.
- Aerospace or aircraft production experience.
- Familiarity with composite manufacturing methods and aerospace materials.
- Experience with automation controls and PLC programming.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $34-$45/hr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Joby also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with a company match, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, and more.
