We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying our aircraft and scaling our global operations.<h2>Overview</h2><p>Joby Aviation seeks an organized and detail-oriented Equipment Maintenance Planner to coordinate and schedule equipment maintenance,ensure spare parts availability, and manage work orders for the equipment located at our Marina and Santa Cruz, CA facilities</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and operational efficiency.</li> <li>Collaborate with Equipment Maintenance Technicians to understand current conditions, service history, and repair needs of equipment.</li> <li>Track and document maintenance activities, inspections, parts inventory, and service records using UpKeep or other maintenance software.</li> <li>Assist in identifying equipment failure trends, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions in partnership with technical staff.</li> <li>Coordinate the installation, commissioning, and integration of new and used equipment with vendors and contractors.</li> <li>Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols.</li> <li>Interface with Procurement and Engineering teams for equipment parts ordering, vendor sourcing, and budget management.</li> <li>Recommend improvements in procedures and maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and lifecycle.</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required.</li> <li>Strong understanding of preventive maintenance principles, with mechanical and electrical aptitude.</li> <li>Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance activities using Upkeep or equivalent systems.</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, etc.</li> <li>Excellent organizational and documentation skills.</li> <li>Knowledge of industrial material handling equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and safety devices.</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>Associate’s degree or higher in engineering, maintenance, or a related field.</li> <li>5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, planning, or reliability engineering.</li> <li>Aerospace or aircraft production experience.</li> <li>Familiarity with composite manufacturing methods and aerospace materials.</li> <li>Experience with automation controls and PLC programming.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
