API Integration Specialist - 12 month FTC

In this role you will play a key role in delivering integration-heavy solutions across a range of projects within the Smartest UK and Smartest Business Energy portfolios. 

This role involves providing technical leadership to an external implementation team, owning integration patterns, and helping establish a robust integration practice. You will design and implement integration solutions using Azure API Management, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. 

Responsibilities include developing service specifications, automating infrastructure deployment with Terraform, and building workflows using Azure Function Apps and Logic Apps. You will also write technical user stories in Azure DevOps, review and assure code quality, and implement effective monitoring and support strategies. A strong focus on integration-layer governance and adherence to security best practices is key to this role.

What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

• Strong experience with Azure API Management, service specifications, Terraform, Function Apps, and Logic Apps;
• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex integration solutions. Detailed knowledge of integration patterns, integration code and logic;
• Proficiency in coding and code review, with the ability to develop high-quality code;
• Experience in implementing support, monitoring, and security solutions for integration services;
• Detailed knowledge of Azure technology components especially focused on Integration and Data Services.
