We have an enjoyable, dynamic and collaborative work environment.</li></ul> What you’ll doAs an Air Systems - Mechanical Engineer at Infravision, your core responsibilities will include:<ul><li>Design and develop mechanical components and systems for autonomous aerial vehicle (UAV) platforms and Infravision products, ensuring functionality and manufacturability.</li><li>Conduct analysis and simulations to validate designs, including stress, thermal, and fluid dynamics analysis.</li><li>Collaborate with electrical engineers, software engineers, and product managers to integrate mechanical systems with other subsystems.</li><li>Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.</li><li>Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs, making iterative improvements based on test results.</li><li>Identify and resolve design issues through root cause analysis and corrective action.</li><li>Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to drive innovation in mechanical design.</li><li>Work with other engineering, manufacturing, sales / marketing, and quality assurance staff to coordinate pilot production of new products</li><li>Resolve mechanical design issues with fabrication vendors and internal stakeholders, proactively participating in the evolution and definition of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) guidelines.</li><li>Provide engineering support to factory/customer support</li><li>Provide and coordinate engineering support for prototype builds and lab testing</li><li>Write test plans and procedures for manufacturing and testing.</li><li>Maintain currency on all relevant safety and compliance standards and educate the team when changes occur.</li><li>Give detailed project estimates for time and cost.</li></ul> What we are looking forRequired Qualifications and Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).</li><li>5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis, preferably in the aerospace or defense industries.</li><li>Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), 3D printing and simulation tools </li><li>Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes relevant to aerospace applications.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.</li><li>Experience supporting multiple products and platforms in Sustaining Engineering situations concurrently with new product development.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Strong analytical skills, creative, innovative and open-minded.</li><li>Ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally including Canada, Australia, India and Europe.</li></ul> Highly Desirable Qualifications and Experience<ul><li>Must be able to work independently, as well as closely with others in a small team as the situation requires, both within the office / workshop environment and in the field.</li><li>Experience with UAV systems or aerospace products.</li><li>Familiarity and experience operating with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards.</li><li>Self-motivated to expand current skill set and develop knowledge of autonomous systems, robotics and the Infravision product stack.</li><li>Holds a current Part 107 pilot licence.</li></ul> Next StepsClick on the Apply button to start your journey and join the Infravision team today.
