Based in our Janesville, WI office, this role will:<ul><li>Lead, Draft &amp; Negotiate: Analyze, draft, and negotiate a high volume of complex sales, purchase, confidentiality, and intellectual property agreements with customers, vendors, and third parties.</li><li>Strategic Advisor: Counsel SFT Division leadership on legal and regulatory matters, ensuring full alignment with global and regional laws.</li><li>Risk Management: Develop and implement legal risk strategies tailored to industry-specific challenges, promoting the long-term success and sustainability of the division.</li><li>Training &amp; Enablement: Provide practical contracts and risk management training to both operational and executive GEA employees.</li><li>Litigation Oversight: Manage the SFT Division's litigation portfolio across North America and Australia, including retention and oversight of external counsel.</li></ul><ul></ul>Your Profile / Qualifications7 - 10 years experience in a construction, commercial business setting.<ul><li>Legal Expertise: Strong experience analyzing, redlining, and negotiating complex contracts.</li><li>Strategic Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate nuanced legal topics to non-lawyers.</li><li>Organization &amp; Execution: Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in high-paced environments.</li><li>Problem-Solving: Analytical, creative thinker with a solution-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail.</li><li>Cultural Fluency: Comfort working in a global environment with an appreciation for diverse business practices and cultural dynamics.</li><li>Tech Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and common contract management tools.</li></ul>At GEA, we don’t just offer jobs—we offer opportunities to thrive, grow, and make an impact.The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $120,000 - $220,000 per year.  GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
