Job Description:<div><div>About the Role: </div><div>Nextracker is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team to design the next generation of Nextracker products. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing next-generation products, from concept to manufacturing.  </div><div>What You Will Do: </div><div><ul><li>Lead mechanical product design, prototyping, and testing of power electronics enclosures and support systems. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Work closely with cross functional teams and external partners to ensure project goals and schedules are met. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Develop comprehensive test plans, build test apparatus and validate design performance. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Create documentation suitable for prototyping, design and production stages. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Conduct in-depth analyses, including FEA (static, dynamic, thermal), CFD, and tolerance analysis, to optimize designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Present design reviews and technical reports to internal stakeholders and management. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Investigate and resolve field failures or product performance issues. </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Minimum Requirements: </div><div><ul><li>Bachelor's/ Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>10+ years of proven experience in mechanical design and product development, with a strong track record of successful product launches. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks and EPDM, including advanced modeling, surfacing, and simulation capabilities. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Extensive experience with FEA software (Ansys) and a deep understanding of structural mechanics and heat transfer. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Thorough understanding of GD&amp;T principles and their application in design and manufacturing. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong knowledge of various manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, injection molding, and additive manufacturing. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Demonstrated experience with DFM/DFA principles and their practical application. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations. </li></ul></div></div>At Nextracker, we are leading in the energy transition, providing the most comprehensive portfolio of intelligent solar tracker and software solutions for solar power plants, as well as strategic services to capture the full value of solar power plants for our customers.
