Nextpower is seeking a Supply Chain Manager in Saudi Arabia to develop and manage its local supply chain as local supply is highly strategic.The Sourcing department is responsible for driving the Total Cost of Ownership through deploying category/region/supplier-specific strategies and establishing strategic relationships with core suppliers.He/She will also be responsible for ensuring proper planning and correct execution of contracts through raw material planning, capacity management and demand review. Identify, evaluate, and onboard best-in-class local suppliers in the steel manufacturing and other sectors, as required to support the business needs.)</li><li>Negotiate, close and manage Master Supply Agreements in line with the sourcing strategy</li><li>Establish and maintain executive level relationship with key stakeholders of the value chain in KSA with special focus on steel commodity</li><li>Follow project specific delivery requirements including material planning, capacity analysis, supplier allocation, weekly delivery reviews with local suppliers and conduct site visits and shop expediting to ensure local suppliers on time delivery.</li><li>Analyze markets and perform supplier screening and qualification</li><li>Prepare and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs)</li><li>Assess supplier performance on a quarterly basis, champion supplier performance management, conduct regular evaluations, site visits, and feedback reviews</li><li>Visit frequently suppliers and keep track of execution performance</li><li>Work in close collaboration with the Supply Chain Operations team and provide them with local support/representation, as needed. </li></ul>Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…<ul><li>Advanced Negotiation skills</li><li>Strong knowledge of commercial contracts in KSA</li><li>Experience in compliance with local KSA regulations (e.g., IKTVA, localization goals)</li><li>Experience with Saudi steel manufacturers in particular flat steel mills, tubing and stamping companies, service centers and galvanizing companies.</li><li>Solid structuring and analytical skills to keep track of multiple projects and vendors, in an international and multicultural environment.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint</li><li>Ability to report and present a strategy at executive level</li><li>Advanced communication skills (written and verbal)</li><li>Fluent oral and written communications at least in English and Arabic</li><li>Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills as a significant part of the team and suppliers are remote</li><li>Results orientated and demonstrated ability to think out of the box to drive results</li><li>Ability to handle ambiguity and respond quickly and flexibly</li><li>Autonomous</li><li>Availability to travel on a regular basis</li></ul>Here are a few of our preferred experiences…<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in technical and/or business major. </li><li>Minimum of 15-year experience in Saudi local supply chain, preferably with steel</li><li>Experience working in a multicultural environment</li></ul>At Nextpower, we are driving the global energy transition with an integrated clean energy technology platform that combines intelligent structural, electrical, and digital solutions for utility-scale power plants.
