Reliability Compliance Analyst – O&amp;P will participate and contribute in the effort to monitor different reliability regulatory rules as they apply to Pattern to ensure Pattern has the appropriatesystematic preventive measures in place to maintain compliance with the requirements. The Reliability Compliance Analyst – O&amp;P will assist in providing technical guidance and feedback to operations, engineering, information technology, and other subject matter experts tasked to support compliance with reliability regulations. Activities include participating and contributing in maintaining the compliance of Pattern’s assets to applicable FERC Orders, NERC Reliability Standards, ISO/RTO market rules and other compliance requirements that relate to reliability through research, data collection, analysis, compliance document organization, and compliance submissions to the appropriate reliability entities.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES <ul> <li>Participating and contributing to the compliance of Pattern’s assets to applicable FERC Orders, NERC/Alberta Reliability Standards, ISO/RTO market rules and other compliance requirements that relate to reliability through research, data collection, analysis, compliance document organization, and compliance submissions to the appropriate reliability entities.</li> <li>Participate, contribute and enhance Pattern’s operations &amp; planning internal compliance program and assist with Pattern’s critical infrastructure protection internal compliance program, as needed.</li> <li>Participate and contribute in the data collection, analysis and submittal for NERC, AESO, IESO or other reliability entities required self-certifications, data requests, audit data, etc. for Pattern assets.</li> <li>Development, analysis, maintenance and training of Pattern’s policies, procedures, standards and other systematic preventive measures developed to ensure adherence with applicable compliance requirements and industry best practices.</li> <li>Prepare reports and presentation materials on Pattern’s compliance activities for internal and external business partners.</li> <li>Provide support to Pattern personnel responsible for adherence with compliance requirements.</li> <li>Conduct audits of Pattern assets to determine compliance with internal and external compliance requirements.</li> <li>Identify, enhance and create measures to ensure compliance with existing, updated and new compliance requirements, including but not limited to, market rules and reliability standards.</li> <li>Represent Pattern and participate in various conferences, workshops and industry groups associated with compliance requirements.</li> <li>Analyze electrical data to understand trends and system events for the purposes of reporting and process improvement.</li> <li>Proactively support the Pattern control room through proper training, data analysis and development of tools to ease compliance burden.</li> <li>Provide assistance, as needed, with research for products and services and product development.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2>EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION REQUIRED Educational Requirements <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as engineering, economics or finance.</li></ul> Experience Requirements <ul> <li>Minimum of 2 year of experience with NERC and FERC.</li> <li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical industry.</li></ul> Additional Requirements <ul> <li>Must pass a personnel risk assessment and seven-year criminal history check.</li> <li>Valid driver’s license.</li> <li>Hold or be able to obtain a passport.</li> <li>Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to domestic and international locations.</li></ul> Technical Skills<ul> <li>Moderate to comprehensive knowledge of electrical principles.</li> <li>Advanced research and writing skills; including the development of internal procedures that are clear, concise, accurate &amp; implementable.</li> <li>Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Consistently deliver on deadlines.</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking and working under pressure.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.</li> <li>Proficiency in the use of software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
