This role is critical in supporting the design, substantiation, and delivery of designs of high-integrity systems that underpin nuclear safety functions. You will work across a range of complex projects, contributing to the development of safety-critical systems in compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks.What you’ll do! Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and contribute to the design and substantiation of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and high-integrity control systems.</li><li>Perform hazard and risk assessments, determining appropriate Safety Integrity Levels (SIL).</li><li>Develop and review system architectures to meet SIL requirements using appropriate hardware and software.</li><li>Conduct verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with functional safety standards.</li><li>Prepare and support safety case documentation for regulatory approval.</li><li>Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across mechanical, electrical, and control systems.</li><li>Ensure compliance with IEC 61508, IEC 61511, and ONR SAPs/TAGs.</li><li>Apply sound engineering judgment and safety practices throughout the project lifecycle.</li><li>Demonstrable experience in delivering engineering activities across a range of project types and complexities.</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to interface with other disciplines.</li></ul>Come grow with us:And let's not forget about the perks at AECOM.
