The successful candidate will design and deliver mechanical services for various rail projects. This role is suitable for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a Building Services background, wanting to expand their project portfolio and work on major rail projects across Australia.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Production of engineering drawings, reports, specifications and tender packages from preliminary through to construction</li><li>Conducting feasibility studies, load calculations and site inspections</li><li>Reviewing mechanical designs, ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC</li><li>Production of engineering reports and supporting tender proposals</li><li>Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables</li></ul>About You<ul><li>Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent</li><li>2-4 year’s Mechanical Engineering experience, working for a Building Services design consultancy</li><li>Experience preparing detailed mechanical services design documentation across rail, infrastructure, mixed-use or commercial projects</li><li>Strong AutoCAD, Camel and Revit experience</li><li>Must have strong understanding of relevant Australian codes and standards</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills</li><li>Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary engineering organisation</li><li>Accountability for project delivery and budget</li></ul>In return, SMEC offers you the benefits that come from working in a global multidisciplinary consultancy in an environment where your fresh ideas and enthusiasm will be welcomed and rewarded.How to ApplyTo apply, click on the "Apply Now" link and follow the prompts.
