Join our exceptional team today and help shape the future of energy! Position Specific DescriptionThe Chemistry Analyst supports safe, reliable operation of the pressurized water reactor (PWR) through accurate chemical and radiochemical analyses. This role ensures plant systems operate within technical specifications, environmental permits, and industry best practices, contributing to plant efficiency and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>The Chemistry Analyst Senior will act as the RadioChemist for Turkey Point Nuclear Plant. The position is responsible for performing activities supporting Chemistry/RadioChemistry operations.</li><li>Radiochemistry functions including analysis of plant effluents and radioactive waste characterization</li><li>Evaluate and trend chemistry data to maintain optimal conditions for corrosion control, fuel integrity, and radiation protection</li><li>Perform routine and diagnostic chemistry analysis on plant systems (e.g., reactor coolant system, secondary systems, condensate, and effluent)</li><li>Maintain compliance with NRC regulations, FDEP environmental permits, and INPO/EPRI chemistry performance standards</li><li>Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation including spectrophotometers, gas chromatographs, conductivity meters, and radiation detectors</li><li>Perform and document calibrations, quality control checks, and equipment maintenance in accordance with FPL procedures</li><li>Assist in troubleshooting plant system anomalies and participate in root cause analyses</li><li>Provide on-shift chemistry coverage during refueling outages, system startups, and special testing campaigns</li><li>Participate in station chemistry program improvements, benchmarking, and self-assessments</li><li>Support external inspections and assessments (e.g., NRC, INPO, corporate audits)</li></ul>
