AECOM is actively seeking a creative and highly talented Civil Engineer / Work Zone Traffic Control Manager based in Raleigh or Charlotte, North Carolina. This position will serve as the practice leader for all transportation work zone traffic control design work in the state of North Carolina.Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:<ul><li>Serve as technical practice leader for the North Carolina work zone team and policy advisor for public agencies.</li><li>Prepare, review, and exercise responsible charge for deliverables, including working drawings, plans, calculations, reports, cost estimates, and studies to satisfy the goals of North Carolina clients. </li><li>Complete Traffic Management Plans for all levels of complexity, including Levels 1 through 4 as defined by NCDOT’s prequalification discipline requirements. </li><li>Author technical reports and memoranda. </li><li>Maintain a robust quality management system within the North Carolina Work Zone team while maintaining compliance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. </li><li>Recruit, retain, mentor, lead, and train staff.  Independently manage technical tasks and provide staffing plans for projects completed on parallel schedules. </li><li>Create business development plans for North Carolina clients, especially NCDOT. </li><li>Manage workflow to ensure program delivery, maintain team utilization goals, and sustain financial success. </li><li>Create a dynamic team environment for the North Carolina work zone practice while collaborating with teams across the southeast region and the country.</li></ul>
