What you’ll do<ul> <li>Drive financial performance for our sales entity in Netherlands</li> <li>Contribute to all areas of the business and provide a strong financial leadership</li> <li>Liaise with external and internal auditors and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls</li> <li>Responsible for statutory financial statements P/L and balance sheet</li> <li>High attention on sales margins (profits), operational growth (sales volumes), operating cost and cash flow</li> <li>Bottom line responsibility for the markets with transparency towards global functions</li> <li>Governance and Control – secure execution and improvement of internal controls set by our global IC team</li> <li>Working closely with the local operational teams with strategic and day-to-day business. Back-up to Senior Business Controller when needed</li> <li>Close cooperation with Polestar global operational teams, other finance and accounting functions as well as our Shared-service center</li> <li>Responsible for budget, forecast, monthly reporting and FLUX reviews with the support of the local team</li> <li>Business partner for implementation of our new ERP-system. Ensuring market specific requirements and legislation to secure implementation</li> <li>Business cases, drive/support structured process</li> <li>Support management with dashboards, KPIs and ad-hoc analyses</li> <li>High focus on improving data quality, analyses and transparency</li> <li>Drive problem solving and identify process gaps and areas for optimization and automation</li></ul>Who you areTo be a great fit for this role we believe that you’re structured, self-motivated, data-driven and have a quantitative problem-solving approach. You’re collaborative, flexible, have an open working style and an ability to establish trust and credibility. You have a strong interest in the commercial and financial aspects of the business. Furthermore, you have:<ul> <li>Experience from working in US listed environment including SOX</li> <li>Controlling background, but strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAP, local reporting requirements and regulations</li> <li>Experience in reviewing complex contracts and evaluating the accounting implications and presenting your conclusions/supporting documents in detail to stakeholders</li> <li>A track record of successful implementation of projects (ERP) and leading the financial teams in a fast and changing environment</li> <li>Passion for people, you like to form long term relationships, to solve complex problems through collaboration, and like to be the ‘spider in the web’</li> <li>Passion for data and analytics and you like analyzing data to find business opportunities and risks</li> <li>Ideally you have experience within automotive, retail or online sales operations. </li> <li>If you have been part of a local sales organization it’s a plus</li> <li>Have minimum 5-7 years work experience with similar responsibilities and tasks</li> <li>Have a Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Finance or the equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability.</li></ul>You’ll be working from the Netherlands Polestar office in Beesd. You are fluent in Dutch, but you will also be part of a cross-functional and international team, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication.
