In this senior role you will drive global sourcing strategies, establish solid supplier partnerships, and program manage execution in support of Mill's innovative products.  This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to oversee supplier processes and performance, executing sourcing strategies that enhance value, reduce costs, and improve product quality while mitigating risks. The position requires a strong focus on supplier evaluation and execution, innovation, and continuous improvement in supplier management.  The role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with engineering, influence product design decisions, and optimize supply chain performances.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li style="font-weight:400;">Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for key mechanical commodities to improve service, quality, and total cost of ownership across a global spend portfolio.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Work with engineering, product design and engineering program teams on new product introduction programs to define standard and custom product requirements ensuring sourcing strategies meet the technical capabilities, cost, and Mill business goals.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Mitigate mechanical commodity risk via supplier diversity, audits, and strategies with a focus on geopolitical concerns.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Work with suppliers to support growth, improve flexibility, and manage pricing without impacting service or quality.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Conduct regular benchmarking to evaluate costs and capabilities of incumbent and potential suppliers globally.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Negotiate, implement, and manage supplier contracts, exclusivity and NDA agreements.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Drive lean improvement to help improve profitability and drive forecasting of supply base cost reductions.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Champion supplier development, quarterly scorecards and quarterly executive business reviews.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li style="font-weight:400;">Bachelor's Degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">12+ years work experience in global technical sourcing and mechanical supply chain commodity management within a supply chain organization, demonstrating proficiency in supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and global supply base management.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Proven technical, manufacturing and commercial experience in plastic injection molding tooling and part design, die casting, blow molding, sheet metal forming, painting, plating and materials science.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Strong technical background, with the commercial knowledge to manage business expectations.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Strong leadership, program management and cross-functional teamwork skills. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Ability to challenge the engineering teams on requirements &amp; specifications, and suggest alternate designs and processes that meet design requirements and cost &amp; supply targets.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">In-depth background in supplier evaluation/selection, contract negotiation and supply base management.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Excellent communications skills with ability to influence all levels of management.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Proficient in developing Master Service Agreements (MSAs) independently, showcasing strong organizational and negotiation skills.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Proficient in ERP and PLM business systems.</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.</li></ul>
