Jefferson Blvd. Fort Wayne, IN 46804. </strong></p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Planning, execution, and reporting of compliance and operational audits and special projects.</li> <li>Conducting an independent and objective evaluation and testing of the effectiveness of the internal controls in place throughout the company in accordance with departmental and professional standards.</li> <li>Executing timely audits and reviews starting at the planning stage through the discussion of findings and the preparation of reporting to management. </li> <li>Preparing and maintaining documentation of relevant facts and information that support the work performed and conclusions drawn so other reviewers can follow the auditor's logic and methodology, the evaluation of audit results, and the weighing of the relevancy, accuracy, and perspective of conclusions against the accumulated audit evidence.</li> <li>Committing to continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Internal Audit Department.</li> <li>This position is an opportunity to gain experience and exposure to all of the company’s businesses. This position regularly interacts with mid- to senior-level management to discuss issues and provide recommendations for improvement. The Internal Audit Department provides direct assistance to the external auditors. <p>OmniSource, LLC is a multifaceted metals-recycling company&mdash;one of North America&rsquo;s largest processors and distributors of scrap and secondary metals. We collect, process, and resell a wide variety of scrap metal.
