These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.​We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.  Job Description  We are presently seeking an Environment, Health &amp; Safety (EH&amp;S) Specialist who will assist the EH&amp;S/Facility Manager with tasks related to EH&amp;S regulatory compliance, with a portion of effort in support of facility maintenance coordination, and site security site coordination.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist with the development and implementation of EH&amp;S programs and procedures to meet regulatory standards;</li><li>Prepare or assist with preparation of environmental permits or reports</li><li>Conduct internal safety audits and inspections with associated recordkeeping;</li><li>Assist with accident investigations, including interviews, accident reporting, claim reporting and submission, medical clinic assistance, and communicating claim updates;</li><li>Lead PPE program for employees (evaluation/JHA, procurement, and distribution)</li><li>Responsible for Safety Data Sheet (SDS) compliance and approval of new chemicals;</li><li>Conduct new hire, periodic, and annual training of site personnel</li><li>Lead emergency response team</li><li>Ensure safety systems (gas monitoring, fire alarms) are in place and properly functioning</li><li>Maintenance: be the site contact for building maintenance</li><li>Maintenance: lead preventative maintenance activities of facility equipment (HVAC, fume hood blowers) and manufacturing equipment.  May require assistance with local vendor</li><li>Maintenance: coordinate with local vendors for emergency/non-PM repairs/projects</li><li>Security: perform security training for new hires and annual refresher</li><li>Security: responsible for camera and IDS system maintenance and control</li><li>Security: maintain visitor logs and ensure logs are completed to requirements</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Associates degree in Occupational Safety and Environmental Sciences (or equivalent) and 3+ years of experience of EH&amp;S in a manufacturing setting or Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety and Environmental Sciences (or equivalent) and 1+ year of related experience;</li><li>Intimate knowledge of OSHA regulations is preferred;</li><li>Previous experience with program development and management, including: assessing operations to maintain continual compliance with applicable requirements, perform and document work place hazard assessments, implement awareness and training plan requirements, and support external and internal compliance reviews and audits;</li><li>Experience with EHS incident response, investigation, and correction;</li><li>Knowledge of MA worker’s compensation laws is preferred, but not required;</li><li>Ability to work with various computer programs to manage data reporting &amp; tracking;</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.</li><li>Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).</li></ul>Physical requirements:<ul><li>This position is a physically active role – must have the ability to climb ladders for roof access;</li><li>Must be able to conduct daily and weekly audits walking and/or standing in facility up to 8 hours per day;</li><li>Must be able to push and/or pull carts up to 50 lbs.;</li><li>Must be willing and able to do other duties as assigned.</li></ul>#qioptiq    Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
