Sub Sector LegalReporting to the Compliance DirectorPosition PurposeThe Regional Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Compliance Program across SMEC Regional Africa.Key Activities:<ul><li>Significantly contribute to the development and implementation of the Compliance Program by draft policies, procedures and processes.</li><li>Brief stakeholders on the impact of new or amended Compliance requirements; Monitor project timelines, prepare file notes and presentations.</li><li>Perform best practices and industry practice research relevant to support compliance program.</li><li>Provide regional perspective on compliance</li><li>The development and implementation of the Compliance Program is delivered by set deadlines; Stakeholders are aware of compliance updates and expectations.</li><li>Manage compliance activities prescribed in the Compliance Program (e.g. COI, GHE, Modern Slavery) , including review and responding to entries in the Compliance portal or emails.</li><li>Manages regular review of business partner due diligence activities.</li><li>Coordinate and manage the ISO certification program.</li><li>Coordinate and manage the risk registers prescribed in the Compliance Program Participate in investigations as they arise.</li><li>Manage the development and delivery of compliance training and communication across SMEC.</li><li>Coordinate logistical requirements for all Compliance training programs including training materials and invitations to training sessions; Prepare training materials and PowerPoint slides.</li><li>Develop and maintain client focus and relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders.</li><li>Provide high level customer service through the delivery of innovative and timely solutions.</li><li>Provide clear and effective communication and consultation with internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Clarify issues and needs of internal clients and stakeholders to enable the development of suitable solutions that meet business needs.</li><li>Adopt a collaborative approach by listening to and valuing other’s contributions and recognise when it is appropriate to seek assistance.</li></ul>Experience and Qualifications<ul><li>Degree or post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline.</li><li>Operate with experience in an Engineering Consulting environment within project management and delivery processes.</li><li>Have working knowledge and experience in implementing and maintaining certified management systems.</li><li>Understanding of commercial business drivers.</li><li>Sound knowledge of management systems.</li><li>Sound knowledge of relevant ISO, AS/NZS standards.</li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite and SharePoint</li></ul>We are proud of the brilliant minds we have at SMEC and are committed to ensuring that our people have the best opportunities and resources to learn, grow and succeed.
