As part of our team, you will combine theory with practice, creating, testing, and validating new technologies to enable the energy transition.How you will make an impact:<ul><li>Propose, contribute to, and lead research and development projects for numerical simulations of products for energy systems.</li><li>Provide results for static and dynamic coupled thermomechanical simulations. Formulate clear conclusions and practical recommendations for the business. Report your work and findings in project documentation.</li><li>Collaborate globally with teams of researchers and engineers at Hitachi Energy to identify, analyze, and solve real-world challenges in optimizing designs for future-generation products.</li><li>Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the latest numerical analysis technologies, algorithms, and software packages. Recognize opportunities for their practical application in industrial conditions.</li><li>Actively promote your knowledge within the company and outside.</li><li>Collaborate with local and global external partners, including universities, startups, and vendors.</li><li>Disseminate your results in technical reports, scientific publications, research conferences, and patent applications.</li></ul>Your background:<ul><li>Master’s or PhD degree in Mechanics, Material Engineering, or related field.</li><li>Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, dynamic and static analysis, material strength, and a basic understanding of typical manufacturing technologies.</li><li>Working experience (2+ years) with CAD/CAE modeling and FEM analysis. Knowledge of the commercial tools (e.g., Ansys, ABAQUS, LS/Dyna, COMSOL, CREO, …)</li><li>Understanding of FE algorithms, including linear and non-linear static, implicit and explicit dynamics (large deformation, short-circuit forces, seismic analysis, fluid-structure interaction), vibration (modal analysis, vibroacoustic, damping, …), fracture mechanics.
