Reporting to the VP of Product and Engineering, your primary focus will be on leveraging advanced ML and GenAI techniques to significantly enhance the accuracy, speed, and coverage of our existing pipelines.You will take a hands-on 'player-coach' role, designing and implementing robust ML solutions, whilst also acting as a senior Individual contributor who guides technical direction and supports the team's growth. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Science teams to ensure ML initiatives directly address critical business needs and improve our core Carta product offering.  In this role, you will:<ul><li>Own the end-to-end lifecycle of key ML initiatives for Carta, focusing on enhancing asset and company data accuracy, speed, and coverage through advanced NLP and GenAI techniques – from research and development through to production, monitoring, and retraining.</li><li>Lead on technical direction for Carta's ML components, helping the team make the right choices on GenAI model application, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, tooling, infrastructure, and processes.</li><li>Shape and refine our approach to NLP and LLM development for information extraction, validation, and enrichment, including the potential fine-tuning of LLMs on domain-specific data to improve Carta's outputs.</li><li>Work closely with Product and Engineering leadership to align Carta ML initiatives with product goals and business outcomes, ensuring your work directly contributes to solving core customer problems.</li><li>Mentor, coach, and support the development of team members working on Carta's ML aspects;
