This role requires a balance of strategic foresight and operational execution to ensure we attract, develop, and retain top talent.Responsibilities<ul style=""><li>Work in close partnership with the executive team to ensure that the people, systems, and processes necessary to scale are in place</li><li>Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with company goals and values, including culture, capability-building, and change management</li><li>Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on all people matters.</li><li>Drive workforce planning and organizational design to support scaling and cross-functional growth.</li><li>Roll out and maintain creative, innovative initiatives to retain and inspire high-performing talent</li><li>Define and implement HR systems, tools, and processes that support a high performance culture</li><li>Support and advise on recruiting efforts, from creation of job descriptions to negotiation of employment agreements</li><li>Oversee employee relations and investigations within the organization</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable labor and employment laws and regulations</li><li>Manage and oversee all immigration issues (visa and green card sponsorship, visa requests, etc.)</li><li>Oversee employee lifecycle policies and systems: onboarding, performance management, compensation, offboarding.</li><li>Partner with legal and finance to ensure compliance and operational excellence in HR systems and data integrity.</li><li>Drive learning and leadership development initiatives that support career growth and organizational agility.</li><li>Enable robust talent reviews and development plans to build bench strength for future leadership needs.</li><li>Champion initiatives that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at all levels of the organization.</li><li>Design and lead programs that promote psychological safety, trust, and an outstanding employee experience.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul style=""><li>10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably at a public company.</li><li>5+ years in a senior leadership position.</li><li>Deep expertise in at least 3 of the following: Executive leadership development, People Ops, L&amp;D, Total Rewards, DEIB, Organizational Design and development</li><li>SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent HR certification.</li><li>Track record of leading organizational change and scaling HR functions from early to growth stage.</li><li>Experience building out centralized programs and policies and implementing across the organization with measurable results</li><li>Ability to influence through effective relationships, data and expertise</li><li>Strategic thinker with high emotional intelligence and a collaborative mindset.</li><li>Exceptional communicator who inspires trust and aligns diverse stakeholders.</li><li>Committed to inclusivity, transparency, and values-driven leadership.</li><li>Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, legal/regulatory environment and experience managing compliance at the federal, state and local levels, with a strong understanding of California labor law and employment practices.</li></ul>
