<div><div>Work Schedule:Conventional</div><div>Position Summary  </div><div> </div><div>The Technical Manager is responsible for providing strategic direction and operating framework to the Technical Department of the assigned facility.  Ensuring that human and capital resources are utilized, developed and integrated to optimum levels, in order to meet company objectives, satisfy customer requirements and achieve sustainable levels of opportunity.    </div><div> </div><div>Essential Functions/Key Deliverables  </div><div> </div><div><ul><li>Set performance targets (KPI) and monitor and report upon performance against these for the Technical Department. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Partner with Plant Manager to ensure the manufacturing of good quality cans in accordance with product specifications and performance targets. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Sets strategic goals related to the Technical function of the facility, including the Maintenance, Engineering and Tool Room departments. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ensures Maintenance, Engineering and Tool Room departments tasks are aligned with the overall targets of the facility to ensure optimum output and standards are being met to meet our customer demands. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Partners with Operational Excellence (WCM) team to complete and implement continuous improvement projects in the facility. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Actively participate in the production planning process, co-operating with cross functional departments to ensure optimum results are met. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Actively participate in root cause analysis in response to customer complaints. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Preparation, implementation and monitoring of the procedures and work instructions for assigned department. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Actively participates in the interview, selection and onboarding processes for direct subordinates.   </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Sets performance goals for direct subordinates and delivers regular performance feedback.  Addresses any performance or behavioural conduct issues, issues corrective actions and escalates any serious issues to the HR team. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Compiles, maintains and reviews reports related to daily work records, timesheets, work specifications, shift logs and other related documentation for assigned department. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Manages department within approved budgets. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Wears and uses the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in the facility. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ensures compliance with the occupational health and safety, environment, quality regulations and operational excellence policies and procedures. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Member of HARA team. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.  </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Knowledge/Skills/Experience </div><div> </div><div><ul><li>Broad training in a related field usually acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Job related experience for 5 years minimum with working knowledge of production equipment for aluminum beverage containers. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proven technical expertise in areas including but not limited to equipment, tools, process, project management and measuring equipment. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge and skills. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Must be able to handle sensitive and proprietary information in a confidential manner. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proven ability to work under general supervision with parameters set by management and exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of an assignment while taking steps to avoid considerable expenditure of resources. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Previous SAP experience a plus. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and organization. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills. </li></ul></div><div>Physical Demands </div><div>N (Not Applicable) Activity is not applicable to this position.  O (Occasionally) Position requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 -
