About this opportunity The WHSE Lead is responsible for leading programs that strive to protect people from workplace and environmental hazards, as well as protect the environment. This role will drive a safety improvement culture and will advise the Operations Manager and site leadership through various forums on all WHSE matters.Your key responsibilities will be to:<ul><li>Implementation and co-coordinate all of the Work Health, Safety and Environment systems at a new site, including WHSE during commissioning, operations, cleaning &amp; maintenance.</li><li>Review, implement and maintain the site to the Group WHSE system.</li><li>Ensure WHSE policies, procedures, and legislative requirements are maintained, communicated, and adhered to by all personnel.</li><li>Lead all external WHSE audits, including develop and management of the corrective and preventative action plans.</li><li>Ensure WHSE system complies to Customer Quality or Integrity requirements.</li><li>Track key systems indicators and report results to Management, including but not limited to accidents, incidents and near misses risks and hazards.</li><li>Ensure all safety training is completed, manage workers' compensation claims, maintain the Return-to-Work program, and ensure adherence to safe work practices.</li><li>Liaise with injured workers and relevant teams, and ensure first aid equipment and stations are properly maintained.</li><li>Ensure all safety equipment on site is monitored and maintained by designated personnel</li><li>Participate on the WHS Committee.</li><li>Ensure investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses, hazards or identified risks have been adequately completed by the prescribed deadlines.</li><li>Ensure personal protective equipment when specified or deemed necessary has been correctly issued by designated personnel &amp; is being used properly.</li></ul>Your skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you’ll have:<ul><li>Previous experience in Establishing a new manufacturing site and the compliance requirements.</li><li>Familiar with Quality Systems, GMP, HACCP, ISO 45001 &amp; ISO 14001</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Project Management)</li><li>Knowledge of Industrial Relations, local WHSE regulations, legislation and Cultural Diversity in Workplace</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Sales/Client Relationship experience.</li><li>Unrestricted Car License.</li></ul>
