Additionally, our Wind Project Engineer will manage the inputs to those designs from various equipment suppliers, oversee our EPC delivery requirements, and manage external consultants related to the Design Management of the Wind Farms. This position will report directly to our Head of Wind Engineering and work closely with different teams at Intersect Power, including Wind Resource Assessment, Development Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, Development, Finance, etc. They will have interactions with our EPC contractors, wind turbine suppliers, owners engineers, etc.</span></div><div><br></div><div><b style="font-size:18px;">About the Team</b></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">The Engineering team is composed of various Subject Matter Experts who are responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the design aspects for all technologies which currently comprise of PV, Wind, BESS, DTC and HV. The Engineering department closely collaborates cross-functionally and at every level throughout the organization from Greenfield development through Construction and into Operations. </span></div><br><br><h3>Responsibilities and Duties</h3><ul><li><b>Coordinate Due Diligences, Feasibility Studies, Design for Permitting, and Detailed Design</b> (shop drawings and IFC drawings) for all Wind Power Plants.</li><li>Work closely with Development Engineering on <b>understanding and integrating all site related constraints</b> into the project design.</li><li><b>Identify, evaluate, communicate, coordinate, and manage risk mitigation for design related challenges</b> and work with the team to identify potential solutions that meet project needs.</li><li><b>Manage the facilitation of documentation</b> from all main equipment suppliers, local jurisdictions, operational requirements, etc., with the Engineering team for design integration.</li><li><b>Manage the collaboration</b> with Turbine Supplier, Owners Engineers, and EPC Contractor for design and optimization related matters.</li><li><b>Manage all relevant contracts and Development budgets</b> related to Wind Project Design activities for the entire lifecycle of the wind farm design.</li><li><b>Manage the interface with the Wind Resource Assessment team</b> on layout interfaces as relates to BoP capex evaluations and optimizations, and managing the alignment of any design related activities and modeling with the relevant turbine array and turbine technology.</li><li><b>Support pre-construction efforts</b> by maintaining project site plans, inclusive of wind turbine layout, preliminary electrical collection cable and access road siting, and other balance of plant considerations.</li><li><b>Support EPC contract evaluation and negotiations</b>, especially as relates to design exposure and associated mitigations.</li><li><b>Support TSA contract evaluation and negotiations</b>, especially as relates to grid compliance requirements, EPC schedule requirements, any constraints that may hinder the project related to capex, yield, schedule, etc.</li><li><b>Maintain working knowledge of wind turbine technology</b> and affiliated technical and market trends. Work with wind turbine Original Equipment Manufacturers to optimize equipment selection for projects as it relates to power curves, operational modes, mechanical suitability considerations, and curtailment strategies.</li><li><b>Provide engineering assistance</b> with subject matter expert coordination during construction and commissioning phases.</li><li><b>Manage coordination of Wind Measurement devices</b> between equipment suppliers, installation crews, and Intersect’s Permitting and Land teams.
