The team works primarily in the ERCOT and SPP market, on a variety of technologies, including PV, BESS, Wind, and Load. The scope of the team covers full cycle development from early stage strategy through to start of construction, with a primary focus on project management to maintain schedule, budget, and economic value of the project. Team coordinates closely with all major SME departments on a daily basis. </span></div><br><br><h3>Responsibilities and Duties</h3><ul><li>Lead development team engagement on project pricing, investment  and offtake relationships, coordinating with Origination &amp; Trading and Business Development teams</li><li>Interface with the Land Acquisition team and lead the greenfield land campaign strategy for SPP</li><li>Complete financial modeling and analysis necessary to advise key transactions as well as evaluate and frame project development risks and opportunities</li><li>Support all project level reporting and key decision making presentations for the executive team</li><li>Manage and own the project development work streams for wind, solar, and load projects in the SPP market through the leadership of an interdisciplinary team of subject matter experts</li><li>Maintain ownership of project budgets, schedules, and reports</li><li>Coordinate, and maintain the interconnection study process, timeline, and relationships, along with analyses for transmission service availability, basis, and curtailment</li><li>Lead counterparty relationships and contract negotiations with transmission utilities, tax consultants, land agents, and real estate attorneys</li><li>Support the creation and improvement of development and project management tools, processes, and standard operating procedures while managing all reporting of the regional development team</li><li>Structure and prepare analysis and materials for senior management and capital deployment committees</li></ul><h3>Qualifications and Skills</h3><ul><li>Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or Engineering. </li><li>5+ years of renewable project development, project finance, or acquisition experience.</li><li>Financial modeling expertise using Microsoft Excel or other modeling programs</li><li>Strong communication, organization, and relationship management skills</li><li>MBA is a plus</li><li>Experience in finance, power marketing, interconnection process management is preferred</li><div><br></div><div>*A note on qualifications: Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they are able to perform every task in the job description.
