This cross-functional role will help coordinate across both our current generation hardware/vehicles as well as our next generation development efforts. This includes driving program progress and schedule, interfacing with suppliers/partners, and working with all the cross-functional teams.About the Work<ul><li>Act as the internal “glue” by communicating and coordinating across all teams, including software and hardware engineering, operations, material planning, and finance.</li><li>Coordinate requirements gathering and prioritization with the cross-functional teams.</li><li>Drive program timelines and milestones on critical paths defined by program leads, identify and mitigate risks, resolve dependencies, unblock progress, and escalate issues.</li><li>Work closely with internal safety, systems, operations, and engineering leads to define readiness of the hardware and safely launch.</li><li>Regularly communicate progress to company leadership and program partners.</li><li>Coordinate communication and task management between internal team and external suppliers/partners.</li><li>Potentially 5% travel domestically and/or internationally.</li></ul>About You<ul><li>You possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Software Engineering and/or equivalent technical experience/aptitude.</li><li>You have 5+ years of experience in managing technical projects related to vehicles or robotics, with a strong understanding of vehicle architecture, onboard software and hw/sw integration.</li><li>You have full lifecycle experience with at least one product or program from launch to sustaining that product.</li><li>You can navigate the development and manufacturing process for both internal builds and external partners.</li><li>You are an excellent communicator, relationship builder and thrive in multi-functional team engagement.</li><li>You are impeccably organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, and have strong presentation and multidisciplinary management skills.</li><li>You are adept at learning and using various project management and database tools.</li><li>You have the ability to work with a variety of people and assist in holding them accountable to deliverables.</li><li>You have start-up DNA and have shown the ability to thrive in the ambiguity of a dynamic environment.</li><li>You have a real passion for helping drive the delivery of creative products leveraging AI, robotics and/or machine learning.</li><li>You have shown a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and business teams.</li></ul>Bonus Points<ul><li>Experience managing a vehicle platform</li><li>Experience managing autonomous vehicle hardware</li><li>Experience in the AV space</li><li>Experience working with OEMs</li><li>Strong knowledge of autonomous system algorithms, sensors (LIDAR, cameras, radar), and data fusion techniques.</li></ul>At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $152,000 and $228,000 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
