Translate business needs into technical requirements and manage the project lifecycle to deliver robust and scalable data solutions.</li><li>Drive recruitment and hiring for the Analytics Engineering team, identifying and attracting top talent.</li><li>Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career growth for team members.</li></ul>Strategic Planning<ul><li>Define and champion the strategic roadmap for the analytics engineering function, aligning with overall business objectives and data strategy.</li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation within the data ecosystem.</li><li>Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and analytics engineering.</li></ul>Project Management<ul><li>Manage the lifecycle of automation projects, from requirements gathering to deployment.</li><li>Ensure on-time delivery of automation solutions within budget constraints.</li><li>Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes.</li><li>Collaborate with various teams, providing a cross-functional architectural data view to ensure end-to-end integration.</li></ul>Technical Oversight<ul><li>Champion best practices in code development, version control, testing, and deployment (CI/CD) for data pipelines and models.</li><li>Promote and implement principles of data observability, reliability, and maintainability.</li><li>Ensure proper documentation of data models, data lineage, and technical specifications.</li><li>Establish and enforce architectural patterns, data modeling standards and best practices for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption across the data platform.</li></ul>Stakeholder Management<ul><li>Work closely with external partners to understand automation requirements.</li><li>Communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Ensure user satisfaction and alignment with business objectives.</li></ul>Risk Management<ul><li>Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Identify and mitigate risks associated with system automations.</li></ul><h1>What You’ll Need: </h1>Minimum qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>8+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar role, with a strong emphasis on building and managing complex data pipelines and data warehouses.</li><li>5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, with a proven track record of successfully leading, mentoring, and scaling a team of data/analytics engineers.</li></ul>Preferred qualifications <ul><li>Expert proficiency in SQL: Ability to write complex, highly optimized queries, design efficient database schemas, and diagnose performance issues.</li><li>Expert proficiency with ETL/ELT frameworks and tools: dbt (Data Build Tool), Airflow, Fivetran.</li><li>Extensive experience with Data Warehousing/Lake technologies: Snowflake, and Redshift.</li><li>Familiarity with leading business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Quicksight and Sigma) from an integration and data modeling perspective.</li><li>Strong understanding and practical experience with data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles.</li><li>Expertise with version control systems (e.g., Git).</li></ul>Working conditions &amp; Travel <ul><li>Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office</li><li>Available to collaborate with remote workforce</li><li>Less than 25%</li></ul>How You’ll Be Rewarded✅ Salary range in the US: $151,000.00 - $242,000.00✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
