We internally drive projects to successful completion, utilizing EPC contractors for the engineering and construction of large-scale plants.We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Projects Officer, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing design and construction projects on large commercial-scale plants in the mining, cement, or chemical process industries.In this position, you will manage internal and external technical and construction teams in the design, procurement, and construction of process plants which produce low to zero CO2 cement. These facilities are first of a kind and will be executed on aggressive schedules. Supported by an internal team, you will maintain responsibility for the overall delivery of projects defined by the scope, schedule, and budget. You ensure efficient performance on the project by focusing on communication, project planning, scheduling, change management, project controls, progress measurement, and economic evaluation. As part of the Capital Projects Team, you will work closely with engineering, operations, legal, finance, and business development, to develop and shepherd projects through definition and execution phases.RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Execute projects safely, within budget and on schedule, in accordance with Fortera’s principles and best practices. Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary internal and external technical teams to ensure that design, permitting, construction, completions commissioning, and start-up activities are completed on schedule and on budget.</li><li>Establish project alignment with organizational needs. Prepare Project Charter and other key project plan documentation. Generate preliminary scope definition for the project. Complete project organization chart for the execution of the work. Establish communication channels and protocols for the project, the team, and stakeholders.</li><li>Working with projects controls, developing and managing project budget and schedule.</li><li>Define and manage the high-level project risks, assumptions, and constraints.
