The individual should be prepared to manage teams working at different project locations.What you'll be doing<ul><li>Embed defined Project Control standards, processes, tools and quality requirements across a Programme of strategic projects in collaboration with the Portfolio’s PMO team</li><li>Enable project delivery discipline by monitoring and controlling cost, schedule, risk and change by working closely with Development / Delivery Managers, Project Managers, project delivery teams and other key stakeholders</li><li>Coordinate the integration of project schedules, budgets, risks and PBI reporting across all projects in the Programme to provide a consolidated Programme level view.</li><li>Support project controls resources implement the portfolio’s standardised WBS / CBS structures across the projects and systems</li><li>Provide project controls teams with guidance on the application of effective project controls techniques (e.g. cost and schedule variance, integrated master schedules, earned value metrics, critical path analysis, etc.)</li><li>Responsible for management reporting across the Programme, as well as feeding inputs to the annual regulatory reporting process.</li><li>Generate Programme-level reporting and actionable insights as per the monthly reporting calendar in collaboration with project controls teams</li><li>Facilitate alignment between project teams and portfolio-level controls requirements to ensure consistency in data, processes, and deliverables</li><li>Attend regular Governance meetings as required</li><li>Support full adoption of digital tools (e.g., Power BI, CEMAR, P6 Primavera, etc.) in collaboration with the Portfolio’s PMO team internally and externally with the supply chain</li><li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Strategic Portfolio by exploring innovative ways of working, championing Lessons Learned and introduction of best-in class industry practices</li><li>Close collaboration and sharing of commons standards, processes and way of working with the other PMO areas in SPT (Core &amp; HVDC).</li></ul>What you will bring<ul><li>Extensive experience (10+ years) in large-scale, complex infrastructure or energy EPC projects, with UK transmission/distribution upgrade project experience advantageous but not essential.</li><li>Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related fields, or equivalent professional qualifications and experience.</li><li>Good working knowledge of some of the following systems (Microsoft Office, MSP, P6/OPC, SAP, Autodesk Construction Cloud, CEMAR, PBI)</li><li>Proven leadership skills, with experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and driving collaboration across multiple projects and contractors.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports, dashboards, and presentations tailored for senior stakeholders.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and drive decision-making at all levels of the organisation.</li><li>Experience with governance frameworks, including portfolio, programme, and project governance, and an understanding of their practical application.</li><li>Familiarity with NEC4 ECC Options C and E contracts, particularly in the context of project controls, risk, and change management.</li><li>Proficient in managing and adapting to dynamic project environments, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.</li></ul>What's in it for youAs well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
