Reporting to a Senior Management Accountant / Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing financial reporting and analysis for a growing international portfolio of renewable energy assets. These assets are owned by a mix of retail, institutional, and listed funds, and span across the UK, US, Europe, Australia, and Asia.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:18px;">You’ll be part of a busy and diverse team, so it’s important that you’re proactive, eager to learn, able to manage multiple workstreams, and comfortable working to tight deadlines. A big part of the role involves overseeing the quality of management accounts and financial data at the asset level, even though much of the day-to-day accounting is outsourced. You’ll spend a significant amount of time working with external accounting teams to improve processes, ensure accuracy, and maintain strong controls.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:18px;">This is a hands-on, wide-ranging position that will see you working closely with various teams across the business. Building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is key to success in this role.</span></div><br><br><h3>What you'll do </h3><ul><li>Review and challenge management accounts provided by external accountants. </li><li>Report on the financial performance of the operational portfolios at monthly Customer Board meetings. </li><li>Ensure financial information and commentary is accurately presented in Investor Reports. </li><li>Prepare distribution forecasts and manage all distribution payments up to the fund. </li><li>Deal with finance related queries on portfolios – taking ownership of requests and issues, creating stakeholder goodwill by providing appropriate solutions in a timely manner. </li><li>Working closely with the OEGEN commercial asset managers to prepare budgets and monitor all costs against these budgets. </li><li>Assist the fund management team in quarterly valuations. </li><li>Assist the operational onboarding of new investments into OEGEN’s finance and reporting processes. </li><li>Project manage audits and review of statutory financial statements and corporation tax returns; liaising with external auditors as required. </li><li>Manage payment approvals as appropriate. </li><li>Ensure a robust control environment is present throughout the portfolio. </li><li>Be a valued business partner and build and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Identify system improvements and take ownership of driving change across the team.
