Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. <br><br>You Will:</p><ul><li>The candidate will collaborate with power electronics design teams, manage, and drive power device qualification and reliability improvement programs focusing on wide bandgap power devices</li><li>Work closely with supplier and design team to define extrinsic and intrinsic reliability test methodologies focused on early identification of reliability challenges</li><li>Develop power semiconductor device qualification plans and work with design and testing teams to ensure effective and timely execution of test plans</li><li>Create reliability models to predict device performance and lifetime</li><li>Facilitate structured problem-solving using industry-standard tools such as Fault Tree Analysis, Fishbone, 5-why, and 8D methodology for root causing semiconductor device failure</li></ul><p>You Bring:</p><ul><li>5+ years of work experience in SiC/GaN device physics.<br>• More than 10 years' experience in wide bandgap power semiconductor device reliability, device design, device engineering, and/or process development.<br>• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to challenge ideas constructively.</li><li>Deep understanding of power device operation and application in power electronics circuits<br>• Fundamental understanding of Weibull distribution, SPC, DOE methodology, and the science related to semiconductor fab processes, inspection, and failure analysis.<br>• Statistical analysis skills, with experience in JMP or other statistical tools for data analysis.<br>• Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse teams</li><li>Experience working with power electronics circuit utilizing power semiconductors<br>• Strong technical problem-solving skills.<br><br>Preferred qualifications:</li><li>Hands-on testing experience of power semiconductor devices</li><li>Experience in battery electric vehicles.</li><li>Experience working in power semiconductor supplier</li></ul><p>Education:</p><ul><li>M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or related discipline.</li></ul><div><div><div><div><strong>Salary Range</strong>: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
