Works with responsible business area Subject Matter Experts and management to provide specialized technical expertise and support for compliance program development and compliance performance tracking and reporting.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Review of New Standards and Guidance – there is ongoing review and update of the NERC Reliability Standards as well as issuance of guidance documents. Any changed and/or updates need to be communicated to responsible business area Subject Matter Experts. The Compliance Specialist will work with a program/project manager to coordinate the tracking of changes to standards and work with responsible business areas to ensure compliance requirements are met.</li></ul><ul><li>Audit Preparation – The companies are subject to regular audits for compliance with NERC Standards. The Compliance Specialist will be expected to support the preparation of audit documents prior to external audits and to participate in regular internal audits of individual standards to support company compliance.</li></ul><ul><li>Document Management – The NERC Reliability Assurance program includes almost 100 policies, procedures, and forms for each company that need to be reviewed and updated on an annual basis. A document trail must be kept demonstrating compliance with each standard.
