You will work alongside other development and CAE engineers, mechanical and software engineers and system owners, key stakeholders and management across the company, to develop and deliver world-class suspension, steering, braking, wheel/tire and vehicle dynamics systems from concept to production.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>· Being the key vehicle dynamics stakeholder for chassis controls feature roadmap to enable attribute fulfillment</p><p>· Contributing to vehicle attribute target definition</p><p>· Delivering systems which enable the vehicle to achieve its attribute targets</p><p>· Testing, tuning, measurement and data analysis of key attributes at component, system and vehicle level</p><p>· Objective and subjective analysis of attributes, on Lucid and benchmark vehicles</p><p>· Working closely with CAE teams from across the business to make efficient, timely, data-driven decisions</p><p>· Ownership of Dynamics development vehicles - ensuring that they are operational, representative, well understood and fit for purpose</p><p>· Work with multiple complex projects in a demanding environment</p><p>· Travel domestically and internationally as required</p><p>· A strong desire to create state-of-the-art engineering products as an integral part of a very capable team</p><p>Qualification:</p><p>· 10 or more years of automotive experience with a solid understanding of vehicle dynamics principles</p><p>· Demonstrated ability to deliver vehicles with world-class dynamics attributes</p><p>· Experience in both objective and subjective assessment, data acquisition and analysis</p><p>· Experience in tuning several of the following: coil springs, air springs, dampers, anti-roll bars, bushings, tires, suspension control software, electric power steering, stability control, torque vectoring systems, and other dynamics-related control systems</p><p>· Knowledge of the basic principles of ADAMS, CarRealTime, CarMaker, CarSim or similar</p><p>· Understanding of Matlab/Simulink fundamentals</p><p>· Familiarity with Python, C++</p><p>· Advanced driving qualifications are advantageous</p><p>Advantageous:</p><p>· Experience in chassis controls feature definition and development</p><p>· Desire for continual learning</p><p>· Excellent problem-solving ability, using fundamental principles and data-driven decision making</p><p>Education</p><p>· BS/BEng or MS/MEng, or equivalent experience, in Mechanical Engineering</p><div>At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
