You’ll be stepping into a position that requires confidence with HR fundamentals and a strong ability to operate independently. You’ll support our People Operations Lead and help drive day-to-day HR functions, from onboarding and compliance to benefits coordination and HR systems management.</p><p>You’ll thrive in this role if you’re energized by fast-moving environments, enjoy solving problems autonomously, and feel comfortable supporting a distributed workforce.</p><h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Support the employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, and leaves of absence.</li><li>Maintain and audit HR systems and employee records (e.g., Rippling).</li><li>Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee questions.</li><li>Maintain documents such as offer letters, I-9 verifications, and policy acknowledgments.</li><li>Respond to HR-related inquiries, and confidential situations when needed.</li><li>Assist with compliance tracking (e.g., training, employment eligibility, state law updates).</li><li>Support ad hoc projects such as policy updates, audit prep, and reporting.</li><li>Partner with managers and cross-functional teams to provide a positive employee experience.<br><br></li></ul><h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3><ul><li>3-5 years of experience preferred in HR, People Operations, or similar function.</li><li>Serve as a trusted first point of contact for employees, handling inquiries with professionalism, discretion, and a high degree of autonomy.</li><li>Demonstrates strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across tasks and documentation.</li><li>Effectively manages multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li><li>Comfortable navigating tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Rippling; quickly adapts to new systems and workflows.</li><li>Maintains a working knowledge of employment laws, I-9 compliance requirements, and HR best practices to support compliant and consistent operations.</li></ul><h3><strong>Nice to Have</strong></h3><ul><li>Previous experience in a start-up or high-growth company (as we value fast-paced execution).</li><li>Exposure to global HR operations or contractors (as we scale).</li><li>Interest in  scalingHR processes and documentation and continuous improvement.</li></ul><h1>Salary</h1><p>The salary range for this role is  $88K - $132K and will depend on a candidate's skills geographic location, qualifications, and experience as defined during the interview process.</p><div><h1><span style="font-size:14pt;">About Muon Space</span></h1><p><span style="font-size:12pt;">Founded in 2021, Muon Space is an end-to-end Space Systems Provider that designs, builds, and operates LEO satellite constellations delivering mission-critical data.
