The ideal candidate brings 5–7 years of communications experience, excellent writing skills, a track record of high-impact media placements, and a passion for food, sustainability, and technology that makes a difference.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li style="font-weight:400;">Develop and execute communications strategies in partnership with product, business, and leadership teams to support product launches, B2B initiatives, and company milestones. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Drive proactive media outreach, cultivating strong relationships with journalists and editors in B2B tech, climate, food systems, and business press. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Craft high-quality content including press releases, briefing documents, blog posts, executive messaging, Q&amp;As, and media statements. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Prepare executives and subject matter experts for interviews, panels, and press interactions through briefings, messaging guidance, and media training. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Identify and shape stories that align with broader industry trends and resonate with our core audiences—including media, partners, and customers. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Monitor and analyze media coverage to measure impact and share insights with internal stakeholders. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Plan and support media-facing events, virtual and in-person, including journalist roundtables, product demos, and thought leadership panels. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Stay on top of relevant industry news, competitive developments, and market trends to inform communications strategies and messaging.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li style="font-weight:400;">5–7 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or journalism, with a strong focus on B2B or product communications. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Proven media relationships and experience securing coverage in top-tier tech, business, and B2B outlets. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Exceptional writing and editing skills—able to turn complex or technical topics into clear, engaging content. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Sharp editorial judgment and an eye for compelling, newsworthy stories. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong project management abilities. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple initiatives on deadline. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Strong understanding of the technology and B2B media landscape. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Mission-driven mindset with a passion for food and sustainability. </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Based in or willing to relocate to San Bruno, CA, with the ability to travel as needed (approx. 10–20%). </li></ul>Bonus:Familiarity with media monitoring and relationship management tools such as Muck Rack or Cision.The estimated base salary range for this position is $160k to $180k, which does not include the any benefits or equity.
