We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: <ul><li>Consistently apply appropriate procedures and processes with minimal direction from others</li><li>Operate tools and technology onsite under the supervision of qualified field technicians</li><li>Prepare basic documentation, tools and equipment for mobilization to project sites</li><li>Identify safety hazards and apply safe working practices to self and peers; keeps job site clean</li><li>Actively participate and may lead onsite safety and planning meetings to review safety risks and areas of concern based on planning documentation and onsite observations</li><li>Identify and troubleshoot simple technical issues, with support of qualified technicians</li><li>Delegate basic/repeatable tasks to entry level technicians</li><li>Empowered to raise observations/concerns and recognition to immediate team and leadership as required</li><li>Focus on continuous improvement by consistently looking for ways to improve and promote quality, efficacy, and safety</li><li>Complete daily timesheets and expense reports as required</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certifications:<ul><li>2 or 3-year diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology (College) or equivalent</li><li>Up to 5 years of previous field experience with infrastructure or general construction projects</li><li>Superior verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Mechanically inclined and good with hand tools</li><li>Previous experience with water utilities or municipalities a plus</li><li>Dedicated team player committed to safe and successful operations for everyone involved</li><li>Ability to read and understand construction drawings and/or maps and can translate to the field</li><li>Proven ability to complete assigned work in a timely manner with quality results</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)</li><li>Demonstrates intermediate math skills</li><li>Availability to work overtime, weekends and holidays when needed</li><li>Ability to read and understand construction drawings and/or maps and can translate to the field</li><li>Status in Canada: Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen</li><li>Up to 75% Travel within Canada.</li><li>Clean record to travel to the U.S. when needed (U.S. Work VISA not required at this moment)</li><li>Must have a valid driver’s license; must have a reasonable driver’s record</li><li>Exhibit objectivity and openness to others’ views</li><li>Experience working directly with customers/clients, an asset</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Previous experience with water system operations and/or pipeline inspection technologies a plus</li><li>Working at Heights / Fall Protection certification a plus</li><li>First Aid and CPR Class C certification a plus</li><li>Ability to work in confined space strongly desired.
