The Communication Officer will play a key role in promoting the visibility, results, and impacts of the TRVC project), a major initiative aimed at transforming the rice value chain in the Mekong Delta by adopting climate-resilient and low-carbon practices. The Communication Officer will be responsible for planning and implementing all communication activities, creating engaging content, and maintaining a strong, positive public profile for the project.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Communication &amp; Branding<ul><li>Develop and implement communication strategies to raise awareness about the TRVC Project’s goals, successes, and impact.</li><li>Design, develop, and maintain consistent branding for all Project materials and activities.</li></ul>2. Communication Product Design &amp; Development<ul><li>Create various communication materials such as brochures, newsletters, fact sheets, and Project reports.</li><li>Design visually appealing event communication banners, backdrops, and promotional materials.</li><li>Coordinate the production of high-quality Project videos, including success stories, Project milestones, and field activities.</li></ul>3. Media Relations &amp; Publicity<ul><li>Cultivate and maintain relationships with local, national, and international media to ensure consistent and positive coverage of the TRVC Project.</li><li>Draft press releases, media advisories, and Project updates for the press.</li><li>Organize and manage media interviews and press conferences.</li><li>Assist in crisis communication efforts, ensuring timely and effective responses to any challenges.</li></ul>4. Photography &amp; Event Documentation<ul><li>Capture high-quality photos during field trips, workshops, and other Project activities to be used in communication products and reports.</li><li>Ensure that images are aligned with SNV and TRVC Project's branding and effectively highlight the impact of the Project.</li></ul>5. Knowledge Management &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Support the compilation and production of knowledge management documents; summarizing key insights, drafting of case studies, and lessons learned from the project.</li><li>Oversee the maintenance of a comprehensive digital library of communication materials and images.</li></ul>6. Stakeholder &amp; Public Engagement<ul><li>Support the organization and execution of events such as workshops, conferences, and community outreach programs.</li><li>Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and community leaders, to ensure that communication efforts are targeted and effective.</li></ul>7. Social Media &amp; Digital Presence<ul><li>Manage and update the TRVC Project’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) with regular, engaging content.</li><li>Monitor engagement and effectiveness of online campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed.</li></ul>8. Monitoring &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Track the impact of communication activities and provide monthly or quarterly reports to the Project Manager and stakeholders.</li><li>Analyze feedback and adjust messaging strategies based on audience engagement and media reach.</li></ul>9. Line Management<ul><li>Manage, guide, delegate and support the Communications Assistant for TRVC to deliver on communications activities for the Project</li><li>Hold regular check-in sessions with direct reports (Communications Assistant), and ensure annual Objective setting, mid-and end of year performance reviews are held.</li></ul>
