AECOM is seeking a Estimator to be based in New York, NY.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Confer with a broad range of technical, professional, and managerial personnel as well as designers, consultants, and contractors to coordinate and establish a detailed cost estimate.</li><li>Prepare and/or ensure the preparation of detailed cost estimates for all phases of design and/or construction.</li><li>Supervise the development of quantity surveys and cost evaluations relating to design documents, contract drawings, specifications, or contract changes.</li><li>Review and report on contract estimates prepared by private consultants; recommend if an estimate is appropriate for implementation.</li><li>Participate in cost negotiations.</li><li>Plan, assign and review the cost-estimating work of other AECOM or Consultant estimators.</li><li>Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.</li><li>Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.</li><li>Utilize computer-based cost estimating software and programs to assist in developing accurate cost projections.</li><li>Collaborate with project managers to monitor ongoing projects and compare projected costs to actual costs, making adjustments as necessary.</li></ul>
