This individual will be responsible for the overall performance of the Plant Operations. This position reports to the VP of Operations.</p><p><em> </em><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Plans, organizes, and runs optimum day-to-day operations.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment that meets all OSHA, local, state, and federal requirements.</li><li>Leads and sustains a strong safety culture.</li><li>Develops systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effect return on assets.</li><li>Prepares, manages, and owns plant budget and P&amp;L.</li><li>Plans and manages capital spending to maintain critical equipment, improve efficiency, and increase production.</li><li>Increases production, assets capacity and flexibility, while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.</li><li>Allocates resources effectively and fully utilizes assets to produce optimal results.</li><li>Implements strategies in alignment with company objectives while providing a clear sense of direction and focus for the team.</li><li>Monitors weekly cost analysis and adjusts labor, materials and supplies to operate within budgets.</li><li>Responsible for identifying, recruiting, managing, and developing the plant staff.</li><li>Provides coaching, mentoring, and training for all plant supervisory employees.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant discipline.</li><li>Minimum 10+ years of progressive operations management experience in manufacturing plant operations in a 24/7 operating environment with direct responsibility for safety, environmental compliance, quality, reliability, production, and financial results</li><li>Strong knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).</li><li>Ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret large amounts of data including pressures, temperatures, material flow rates, etc.</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Suite as well as other applications </li><li>Must be able to analyze financial and cost data and develop conclusions and recommendations </li><li>Ability to work independently with limited supervision </li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines </li><li>Strong team building, decision-making and leadership skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience as a Plant Manager in a 24/7 manufacturing environment</li><li>Experience in Wood Products related industry and/or complex, high hazard, continuous flow manufacturing process.</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions</strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.</li><li>Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.</li><li>Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to climb stairs and ladders in wide range of environmental conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)</li><li>Willing and able to work around moving equipment and machinery.</li><li>Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.</li></ul><p>#LI-AT1</p><div><p><strong>EEO Statement </strong></p><p>Enviva is dedicated to the principles of equal employment opportunity (EEO) in any term, condition or privilege of employment.
