We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.</div></div></div></div></div></div>Essential Duties: Redwood Materials is currently recruiting motivated and accomplished Electrical Engineering interns to join our Infrastructure Development team during the Fall 2025 semester. These roles are at the center of our activities focused on creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries by transforming recycled materials into battery materials for new lithium-ion battery production. Responsibilities Will Include:  <ul><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Perform electrical assignments with general direction and supervision. </li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Support the development of construction drawings for low voltage (up to 600V) power distribution, one-line diagrams lighting, lighting control, electrical circuits, raceway, grounding, data and communications. </li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Assist in the development of design standards and templates for the electrical engineering department.  </li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Assist in maintaining electrical equipment tracker through purchasing, delivery, storage, and installation. </li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Perform site visits to document construction progress and ensure compliance with design drawings. </li></ul>Desired Qualifications:  <ul><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. </li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Passed or planning to take Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is a plus.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Prior internship or work experience at another firm. </li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Ability to read electrical drawings, single line diagrams, and electrical circuit schedules.  </li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Familiarity with using REVIT MEP for electrical design. </li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Familiarity with using Navisworks to view and create clash-free design. </li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Proficiency in using Bluebeam to review, add markups, and create sessions. </li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Prior experience or interest in using SKM to perform short-circuit, arc flash, and circuit breaker coordination study. </li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Self-motivated, hands-on mindset, with a willingness to contribute at all levels.  </li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!  </li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Ability to safely perform job duties in both office and production environments.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Must maintain regular and punctual attendance in alignment with company and regulatory standards.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;font-family:helvetica , arial , sans-serif;">Must be able to communicate clearly.</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li style="font-size:12pt;">Split work environment between office and the production facility.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Work may involve extended periods of working in the production facility.</li><li style="font-size:12pt;">Ability to work in challenging working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes, while protected by PPE, for extended periods of time.</li></ul>The location of the internship is either in the Reno or Carson City, Nevada area (exact location is based on team placement). Interns are responsible for making their own housing and transportation arrangements.
