This position is limited to three years. An extension beyond the three years is possible, depending on the success of the role, particularly in terms of sales development and growth in the area of responsibility. What you will be doing The C&amp;A Technical Coordinator is responsible for the technical coordination and implementation of retrofit projects in the field of electrical and automated drive systems. This includes, in particular, the integration and modernization of propulsion controls, engine automation, pneumatic systems, and the creation and testing of electrical drawings. The role involves guiding service personnel, ensuring technical quality, and managing projects in compliance with cost, time, and safety targets.  As Controls &amp; Automation Technical Coordinator, your work will focus on these responsibilities:  <ul><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Technical project coordination of retrofit measures in the area of propulsion controls and engine automation</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Creation, review, and maintenance of E-drawings for conversions and new projects</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Integration and commissioning of systems in maritime applications</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Instruction and technical support for service personnel on site and remotely</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Planning and control of projects, including resource management, scheduling, and budget control</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards in accordance with ISO and internal guidelines</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Communicating with customers and internal stakeholders to coordinate technical requirements and project progress</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Troubleshooting and providing technical support for complex I/O problems</li><li style="font-family:arial , helvetica , sans-serif;">Documenting and reporting on project status, technical changes, and lessons learned</li></ul> To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: <ul><li>Completed technical training or degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or comparable field</li><li>Several years of experience in coordinating technical projects in the maritime environment</li><li>In-depth knowledge of: Propulsion controls and retrofit technologies, Engine automation, Pneumatic system,  E-drawing software (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical)</li><li>Experience in instructing and managing service personnel</li><li>Knowledge of SAP, Salesforce, and MS Office</li><li>Good written and spoken English and German skills</li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li></ul>Special Requirements:<ul><li>Willingness to travel for assignments on board and in shipyards</li><li>Ability to work in multicultural teams</li><li>Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call duty on a rotational basis</li></ul> Why you and us? We at Wärtsilä believe in empowerment, ownership and taking responsibility of our work.
