The successful candidate will design and deliver low voltage, high voltage, earthing and bonding engineering components for various rail projects locally and nationally.Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Design and delivery of low voltage, high voltage, earthing and bonding engineering services for various rail projects</li><li>Production of engineering drawings, reports, specifications and tender packages from preliminary through to construction </li><li>Conducting feasibility studies, load calculations and site inspections </li><li>Reviewing electrical designs, ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC </li><li>Production of engineering reports and supporting tender proposals </li><li>Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables </li></ul>About You <ul><li>Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent </li><li>5+ years’ industry experience</li><li>Experience preparing detailed electrical design documentation across rail and other transport infrastructure projects</li><li>Design experience in substation protection, SCADA and communication (desirable)</li><li>Previous experience working within a TAO authorised design consultancy</li><li>AutoCAD, Revit, PowerCAD, AGI 32m DIALux, CDEGS software experience  </li><li>Must have strong understanding of relevant AMB, Australian codes and standards, as well as Safety Assurance and System Engineering processes</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills  </li><li>Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary engineering organisation </li><li>Accountability for project delivery and budget  </li></ul>In return, SMEC offers you the benefits that come from working in a global multidisciplinary consultancy in an environment where your fresh ideas and enthusiasm will be welcomed and rewarded. How to Apply To apply, click on the "Apply Now" link and follow the prompts.
