Sensata Technologies is seeking a Global Indirect Procurement Director to lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies across $400M+ in indirect material spend spanning multiple categories. This is a unique opportunity to step into a role that blends strategic leadership, operational execution, and innovation while being a part of a company that values integrity, growth, and global impact.General Responsibilities • Directs inventory management and material budgets • Directs implementation of innovative strategies for cost reduction, quality and other aspects • Oversee analyses of market conditions and trends to predict future supply needs • Direct cross functional team in the execution of medium to large strategic sourcing initiatives and the implementation of category strategies • Oversee consistent communication with suppliers to ensure timelines is met • Direct interactions between suppliers and functional teams to answer any questions related to any documents • Oversee negotiations ranging from Long Term Agreements to individual Purchase Orders Experience / Qualifications • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. • Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members • Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) • Strong interpersonal &amp; collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customersAs the Global Indirect Procurement Director, you will:<ul><li>Lead a global team of sourcing professionals, shaping a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.</li><li>Develop and execute innovative category strategies that drive cost savings, enhance supply continuity, and support business growth.</li><li>Partner cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing leaders to align sourcing with enterprise-wide objectives.</li><li>Leverage tools like should-cost modeling, TCO analysis, and e-Sourcing to drive smarter decision-making.</li><li>Build and maintain world-class supplier relationships, developing robust evaluation and performance management frameworks.</li><li>Stay ahead of market trends to mitigate risk, capture value, and ensure agility in global supply chains.</li><li>Guide tactical procurement teams to align day-to-day purchasing with strategic objectives.</li><li>Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations while upholding the highest ethical standards.</li></ul>Additional Qualifications:<ul><li>12+ years of indirect sourcing experience with 6+ years managing global teams</li><li>Oracle ERP Experience desired (R11 and/or R12)</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office suite tools</li><li>Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing experience strongly desired</li><li>Ability to travel 25% both domestically and to Global Regions</li><li>Green Belt certification</li></ul>#LI-MY1Base Salary Range: $160,800.00 - $221,100.00At Sensata, our employees are the key to our success and growth.  We recognize that each individual brings their own unique experience, therefore the base salary range information shown above is a general guideline only.  Sensata considers several factors when extending an offer, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations.
